2 years old boy needs potty training..?
Hi, i am pregnant with my second baby and my due date is 30 march. So i would really want to potty train my 2 years old boy.
I am using stickers and those 1$ things you put in water and then you get a sponge dinosaur or farm animal..
It is working, he gets excited to go to the toilet, but, how can i be sure he did pee in the toilet? You can’t hear any sounds.
And what about he only wants the sticker and toy.. He will even cry for those and don’t care for pee-pee in toilet?
I know actually that he is ready. He understands that he needs to go to the toilet like all the big boys he knows.
I didn’t see him pee, but i can’t change him to the potty after he has been used to the toilet..
Sounds like you are on the right track. Continue to use the sticker system. Don’t give in to his crying, tell him “Sorry but you only get a sticker/toy when you have done a wee wee on the toilet”. Make sure he knows why, or this will cause him frustration.
It doesn’t matter if he isn’t actually weeing on the toilet, the fact is that he is sitting on it even! That is good, he will do wees in the toilet when he feels the need, and he already has the concept of what he needs to do so he will be fine. Keep going!
