how to get my horse really white?

im getting my senior pictures done soon with my horse, and i think its gonna be a little too cold to give him a bath cause i dont have hot water at my barn. so how can i get my horse white? i think ive heard of ppl using baby powder? hes sorrel with a white blaze and a couple white socks so its not alot but i dont want him to be dirty looking. any help would be great!

alright maybe ill try just some warm soapy water first and see if it cleans him up a bit. i didnt really wanna have to order anything, cause my local tack shops are more all around farm not specific for horses..

Even if its cold, he won’t suffer from you just washing him where he is white.

Just use whatever shampoo you would normally use (I’ve found White ‘n Brite is THE BEST on white if you want it to really GLOW, but even the dollar store bottle of Suave shampoo will do the trick), put a little in the bottom of a bucket, spray some water in there, get it REALLY bubbly (you want more bubbles than water) then get a sponge get it wet with lots of bubbles on it and just scrub the white spots.
For his face a small washcloth will do (though just be careful not to get in his eyes, I know you know this but I still feel like I have to say it lol).
Rinse the sponge and washcloth off completely then wash the soap off. Tada!
Now all you need to do is take an old towel and rub the excess water off and you should be fine =)

Obviously, just like when you give him a real bath, you should groom those spots really well first.

Even if its cold where you’re at, washing his legs and face shouldn’t really affect him as long as you dry him off.
