Dog food industry the real truth Save your Pet
The domestication of cattle vs the domestication of dogs – and the domestication of man?
Why domestcate cows pigs and so on ?
It was easier than hunting them down and following them all over the place — We domesticated them as livestock to be eaten and give us a steady supply of food
Why domesticate dogs ? We like them — they are useful and are among our best companions
————-
So — man — who used to be a fairly wild creature building houses out of the things they found ( and did a pretty good job at it ) — hunting – learning to plant and to harvest living in tribal units believing in all sorts of nature bound gods and goddess — ( The forgotten history of Europe and Britain)
Man has been slowly domesticated
Domesticated to the point of a dog — in that it likely won’t survive on its own in nature anymore
——————– So — domesticated as a pet or for food — or just to supply labour to the elites ?
What would you say the greater purpose of the domestication of man has been for ?
It was also inevitable that humans would end up like this. We want the easiest way to do things, and as such we are inadvertently enslaved to convenience.
As a result we developed machines to do our work for us, not realizing that we were losing the ability to actually do these jobs ourselves if the time ever came (or even for nostalgic purposes).
Can the average person find an address without GPS?
Hell, I even know many people who can’t even READ A CLOCK that isn’t digital!
I am also one of two people I know who know how to set up a sun dial.
My point is, that while technology is helpful, it is also harmful to our ability to be skilled at anything practical.
Man used to be connected to the fruits of his labor. A little piece of him was in every wagon wheel he crafted, every house he built and every grain of wheat he harvested.
Times may change, true, but the Industrial revolution probably did more damage to the self-worth of man than any conflict, depression or struggle.
The death of the craftsman, so to speak. Sure you can still get churned butter, home-made clothes or hand made pottery-but it is not a necessity. Go down to Wal-Mart and get the generic and mass produced thing for far less money.
Do you know what I used to do right before college? I worked at a water hose factory. I didn’t “make” water hoses, I affixed the ends-male and female-to the ends of the the hose. Anyone could have done my job. I have an entirely different story related to politics there but to spare everyone I’ll leave it at that.
But to surmise how it’s related-we have accepted our lack of skill. In the past having no skill meant you didn’t eat unless you became a beggar. This massive and sudden shift has yet to unveil all it’s consequences.
And by our convenience we enslave ourselves.
=================
So why was this done?
It wasn’t even sought after. While it IS being taken advantage of by those who control the masses, it wasn’t their doing.
