How to fund mid life retraining?
Due to continued physical impairment I must find another career. I imagine I am no different then anyone else in that I am mid-thirties and have debts to pay. So there is the problem, how to afford retraining into a new career while still being able to pay my bills. I’m sure I’m not alone on this. I’ve looked into apprenticeship programs on the Department of Labor website and just keep following links to dead ends. Any clues out there?
First of all…apply at www.fafsa.ed.gov, it is for federal aid, and sometimes they help ALOT, I am going to school for free right now because of it. There are also a lot of scholarship websites. Talk to the college you are planning to attend, you can probably get good scholarships. Just see how much you can get from them, and then look into your local scholarships.
