I need some help deciding on which saw is the best. I have never owned a chainsaw before, but am planning on getting one soon. I live on 6 acres, and will be cutting firewood often, and felling some large trees up to 2 feet in diameter. Which saw will be my best choice for mid range use. The Stihl is about $20 cheaper, but i have always been a Husqvarna fan. Which one should i get? Thanks!!

I like both saws, but go to partstree.com type in Husqvarna 455 Rancher and you get a parts list for the saw and you can buy from many dealers on the internet. Then try Stihl MS290 and you will not find anything for Stihl. Then go to many other sites on internet and you will find that Stihl parts are almost impossible to get on internet. You will find that Stihl parts are extremely costly.
