Should we “Drill the Whales!”?
Before Canadian Abraham Gesner developed a process for distilling kerosene from shale oil in 1849, everyone used whale oil (a renewable bio-fuel) for lamps. If we could farm whales today, couldn’t we create an unlimited supply of energy by harvesting whale oil?

What are the chances of me getting a government grant to research this environmentally responsible, carbon neutral, alternative energy source?
No, no, I’m not saying we kill them. We just genetically modify them to produce more oil.. same thing we did with cows. Then, we could “milk” the oil out of them.
Apply for your grant. The worst that can happen is you will be turned down. Warped minds like yours are what make America the greatest nation in the world.
