what would you put in a zoo book for preschoolers?

im taking a group of preschool kids to the zoo this coming thursday and im putting togehter a book for them. what would you recommend i put in it i have a zoo animal hide and seek page, coloring pages a cover and im going to put pictures in it and it will be bound ideas please.

Your ideas are very good, but I’m not sure how you will be using the book. Is it something you will give them in advance of the trip? Is it a class book- one big book for the whole class- or is it something you xerox and give each child a copy?

They will have the most fun with it if they can have some input into what will be in the book. What I would do is leave several blank pages in the book for the students to be able to contribute what they want to. They could draw pictures, or cut out pics from a magazine of things that are at the zoo and glue them onto the blank pages. You could also ask them what they liked at the zoo and write it down in the book.

Be sure to take your camera and take photos of your fieldtrip. Later, you can add the photos to the book on the blank pages.
